Position Summary:
We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Paramedic to join our clients Emergency Medical Services team. The successful candidate will provide high-quality pre-hospital emergency care and transportation for patients in a variety of settings.
Key Responsibilities:
Respond promptly to emergency calls and provide efficient medical care.
Assess the condition of patients, providing appropriate emergency treatment on-site.
Operate ambulance equipment and maintain communication with dispatchers during emergencies.
Administer medications, intravenous fluids, and other necessary treatments as per protocols.
Work collaboratively with other healthcare professionals to deliver optimal patient care.
Transport patients safely to hospitals or medical facilities while monitoring their condition.
Document all patient information accurately following each incident as per legal requirements.
Requirements:
State certification as a Paramedic; National Registry of Emergency Medical Technicians (NREMT) certification preferred.
Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
Ability to work under pressure in high-stress situations.
Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
Qualifications:
Completion of an accredited paramedic training program required; an Associate’s degree in paramedicine preferred but not mandatory.
Minimum 2 years of experience working as an EMT or similar role within the emergency services field.
Proficient knowledge of medical terminology, anatomy, physiology, and basic pharmacology relevant to pre-hospital care.
