Position Overview:
We are seeking a qualified and dedicated Psychiatrist to join our clients behavioral health team. The successful candidate will be responsible for diagnosing, treating, and preventing mental illnesses and disorders. This role involves working closely with patients to evaluate their conditions through discussions, observations, and tests.
Key Responsibilities:
Conduct thorough assessments of patients' mental health status.
Develop individualized treatment plans based on patient needs.
Prescribe medication as appropriate to manage symptoms of mental illness.
Monitor the effects of treatment plans and make necessary adjustments.
Collaborate with other healthcare professionals for comprehensive patient care.
Maintain accurate records of patient interactions and progress reports.
Provide education to patients and families about mental health conditions.
Requirements:
Doctoral degree in Medicine (MD or DO) from an accredited institution.
Completion of residency training in Psychiatry.
Valid state medical license to practice psychiatry.
Board Certification in Psychiatry is preferred or eligibility for certification within one year of hire.
Qualifications:
Strong understanding of psychiatric practices, medications, and therapies.
Excellent communication skills for interacting effectively with patients, families, and healthcare teams.
Ability to analyze complex information quickly while maintaining focus on individual patient needs.
Compassionate approach towards patient care with attention to confidentiality.
